Finding a therapist in Redding
County specialty mental health is for people who meet medical-necessity criteria, often Medi-Cal. If you have commercial insurance, or you want outpatient therapy that is not the county clinic, use:
- Psychology Today therapist directory for Redding
- Your insurance’s provider search
- A free 15-minute consult with a local clinician to see if the fit is right
I see midlife adults in Redding and by California telehealth, using IFS and Brainspotting, at Attune Center for Healing. If that is what you are looking for, you can book a free 15-minute consult or call (530) 444-1522.
A simple way to use this list
- If you are unsafe, call 911 or 988.
- If you need a person in Shasta County tonight, call Access at (530) 225-5252 or go to the CARE Center during open hours.
- If you need a program, housing, or a clinic name, call 211.
- If you are supporting a family member, call NAMI Shasta on the next business day.
You do not have to earn help by being “sick enough.” The local numbers exist because people here use them.
