Online Therapy for Women Across California

Good help shouldn’t depend on your zip code. Wherever you live in California, you can get trauma-focused therapy from home, by secure video.

I work with women in their 30s and 40s who have spent years holding everyone else together. If you are carrying old trauma, burnout, or the hurt from a controlling relationship, you don’t have to drive across town or wait months to find someone who understands.

Is online therapy right for you?

Video therapy can be a good fit if:

  • You live in a small town or rural area with few therapists nearby.
  • Your schedule is full of work, kids, or caring for a parent, and a drive to an office is one thing too many.
  • You feel safer opening up from your own space.
  • You have a health condition that makes getting out hard on some days.
  • You want a therapist who isn’t part of your small-town circle or church community.

I see clients by video all over the state, from Sacramento, Roseville, and Chico to the Bay Area, the Central Valley, and Southern California.

What I help with

Trauma and C-PTSD

For a body that still acts like the danger isn’t over.

Burnout

For the exhaustion that rest alone hasn’t fixed.

After controlling relationships

For the second-guessing and walking on eggshells those relationships left behind.

Midlife women

For caregiving, body changes, and family roles you never chose.

Can deeper healing really happen over video?

Yes. Many people are surprised by how connected video sessions feel. The two main ways I work both translate well to a screen.

Internal Family Systems, often called IFS, is a way of working with the different parts of ourselves. Most of us have a part that pushes hard, a part that worries, and a part that just wants to hide. In IFS, we get to know these parts with curiosity instead of criticism. This is a conversation, so it works just as well online.

Brainspotting is a gentle, body-based approach. Where you look can connect to how you feel, and we use that to help your brain process hard memories without needing the perfect words. Brainspotting can be done over video. I guide where you look on your screen, and we go at your pace.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about coming home to yourself.

How it works

  1. A free 15-minute callTell me a little about what you are carrying. I will tell you how I work and whether I have room. There is no pressure to book.
  2. Your first sessionYou get a secure video link. You join from your phone, tablet, or computer. There is nothing complicated to download or figure out.
  3. A pace we set togetherWe start by helping your body feel steady. You are never pushed to share more than you are ready to.

What you need for a video session

  • A private space where you can talk freely. Your car, a closet, or a walk outside with earbuds can work.
  • A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera.
  • A steady internet connection.
  • You must be physically in California at the time of your session. This is a state licensing rule.

Your privacy

Sessions use a secure, private video platform made for health care. Nothing is recorded. What you share stays between us, within the limits of the law, which I will explain at your first session.

Faith is welcome, never required

I am a Christian. If you want your faith in the room, it is welcome. If you don’t, we will leave it out completely. Faith will never be used to rush forgiveness or skip the hard work.

Want to come in person? Try a weekend intensive

Some women want more than one hour a week. An intensive is a few longer sessions packed into a weekend, held in person at my office in Redding. Clients travel from Roseville, Sacramento, and other parts of the state for this kind of focused work. Many make a restful getaway of it.

To ask about reserving an intensive, email yvette@theancientwell.com.

Hours and cost

Video sessions are available Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific. Weekend intensives are available when scheduled in advance.

Self-pay is $100 per session. Attune Center for Healing accepts several insurance plans. Ask about yours during your free consult. Superbills are available on request.

Questions people ask

Is online therapy as helpful as in-person therapy?

For many people, yes. Research shows video therapy can work well for trauma, anxiety, and depression. What matters most is feeling safe with your therapist, and many people find that easier from home.

Can I have a session if I am traveling out of state?

No. You need to be physically in California during your session. If you will be out of state, we can plan around it.

What if I get upset during a video session?

That is okay and very normal. We slow down, and I will help you feel steady again before the session ends. At your first session, we will also make a simple plan for what to do if you need support between sessions.

I don’t have a private room at home. Can I still do this?

Yes. Many clients join from a parked car, a closet, or a quiet spot outside. Earbuds help a lot.

Do I need to be a Christian to work with you?

No. Faith is welcome if it matters to you, and it is never required.

You were never meant to carry it alone

A free 15-minute consult is the next step. Tell me a little about what you are carrying, and I will tell you how I work and whether I have room. There is no pressure to book.

This is education, not therapy. It’s not medical advice and doesn’t create a therapist-client relationship.
