If you searched for a Redding therapist because the load has been yours for too long, you are in the right place. I work with midlife adults, especially women, whose nervous system is still organized around what it took to survive. That often includes unprocessed trauma, C-PTSD, grief, and the after effects of controlling or narcissistic relationships.

About

Redding Therapist

Yvette Brown is a marriage and family therapist trainee at Attune Center for Healing, a program of Northern California Family Counseling and Wellness Center. She is supervised by, Christina Whitney, LMFT #111050.

In-person sessions are at 2395 Bechelli Lane, Suite B, Redding, CA 96002. Telehealth is available to residents of California. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific. Weekend intensives are available when scheduled in advance.

Individual sessions are $100 for cash pay clients. Aetna, Health Net, L.A. Care, Magellan, UnitedHealthcare (including Optum EAP, Medicaid, Medicare, Student Resources, and UHC | UBH), Partnership, and Medi-Cal are welcome. Superbills are available on request for out-of-network reimbursement. A free 15-minute consult is available before you decide whether to begin.

What sessions look like

We use ordinary conversation plus Internal Family Systems and Brainspotting. Sessions are collaborative. You will not be pushed to tell more than you are ready to tell. Faith in Christ is welcome if it matters to you. It is not required.

People often arrive looking composed on the outside while carrying caregiving, chronic illness, unfinished family roles, or a complex blended household. Therapy here is a place to set that down without performing strength.

Who this is for

  • Adults in Redding, Anderson, Shasta Lake, Palo Cedro, and the rest of Shasta County who want in-person work
  • Anyone living in California who prefers telehealth
  • People with trauma, C-PTSD, grief, or narcissistic-abuse aftermath
  • Midlife adults tired of being the strong one
  • People who want parts work and body-based processing, not only talk

Where we meet

Attune Center for Healing is on Bechelli Lane in Redding. Parking is on site. If coming in person is not possible that week, we can meet by secure video as long as you are in California.

How to choose a Redding therapist

License status should be easy to find. Ask how trauma is paced. Ask what happens if you freeze or go blank. Ask about insurance, session length, and between-session contact. Fit matters as much as method. Use the consult to notice whether you feel rushed or respected.
