### The person who held everyone else still gets a place to set it down.

You were never meant to carry it alone.

Trauma, C-PTSD, and burnout therapy for women in their 30s and 40s. In person in Redding, CA, and by secure video anywhere in California.

### Does any of this sound familiar?

- You look like you have it handled, and you are tired of holding it.
- You have spent years keeping everyone else together while your own story stays unfinished.
- You are exhausted in a way that sleep and weekends don't fix.
- You second-guess yourself, over-explain, or scan faces to see how someone is feeling.
- Your body still startles or goes quiet, even when your mind knows you are safe.
- You carry caregiving, chronic illness, or a complicated family, and you have not had a place to set it down.

If some of this is you, you are not asking for too much.

### Hi, I'm Yvette.

I work with women whose bodies are still bracing from what it took to survive. That often looks like burnout, old trauma, C-PTSD, grief, or the hurt left behind by controlling or narcissistic relationships. Many of the women I see have spent years holding everyone else together.

My own experience with caregiving, chronic illness, and years of trauma-informed peer support shapes how I hold the room. I am training through Simpson University's Master's in Counseling Psychology program.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee, I work under the clinical supervision of Christina Whitney, LMFT #111050, at Attune Center for Healing in Redding.

I am a Christian. Faith is welcome in the room if you want it there, and it is never required. It will not be used to rush forgiveness or skip the work.

### What I help with

- Trauma and C-PTSD: for a body that still acts like the danger isn't over, including grief.
- Burnout: for the exhaustion that rest alone hasn't fixed.
- After narcissistic relationships: for the second-guessing, self-silencing, and walking on eggshells those relationships left behind.
- Midlife women: for the load of being the strong one, including caregiving, body changes, and family roles you never chose.
- Christian counseling: for women who want their faith welcomed in therapy, at whatever level feels right.

### How I work

Sessions are paced and collaborative. You are never pushed to share more than you are ready to.

- Parts work (IFS): Internal Family Systems is a way of working with the different parts of yourself. Most of us have a part that pushes hard, a part that worries, and a part that wants to hide. We meet each one with curiosity instead of criticism.
- Brainspotting: a gentle, body-based way to process hard memories without needing to find the perfect words.
- Online therapy in California: secure video sessions from anywhere in the state.

### How to start

1. A free 15-minute call. Tell me a little about what you are carrying. I will tell you how I work and whether I have openings at Attune. There is no pressure to book.
2. Your first session. Meet in person in Redding, or by secure video from anywhere in California.
3. A pace we set together. We start by helping your body feel steady. We go at the speed your system can handle.

### Free guide

"When Midlife Meets the Old Memory" explains Internal Family Systems and Brainspotting in plain language: what "parts" means, what a brainspot is, and how both fit alongside ordinary conversation. There is also an optional section on a Christian way of seeing IFS. No sign-up and no email needed: https://theancientwell.com/guide/

### Questions people ask

**What insurance is accepted?**
Attune Center for Healing accepts Aetna, Health Net, L.A. Care, Magellan, UnitedHealthcare, Partnership, and Medi-Cal. The free consult is a good time to ask about your specific plan.

**What if I freeze or go blank in session?**
That is common when trauma is involved, and it is not a failure. We slow down. You are never pushed to say more than you are ready to, and we can pause, steady ourselves, or change direction together.

**Do I need to be a Christian?**
No. Faith is welcome if it matters to you, and it will never be used to rush forgiveness or skip the work. If that is not how you name your life, you are welcome here too.

**Can we meet by video from anywhere in California?**
Yes, as long as you are physically in California at the time of your session. I also see people in person at Attune Center for Healing in Redding.

**Are you a licensed therapist?**
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee. I work under the clinical supervision of Christina Whitney, LMFT #111050, at Attune Center for Healing, a program of Northern California Family Counseling and Wellness Center.
